Drew Kelly’s 40 Points Leads Morehead State to Blow Out Win over South Dakota

Morehead State’s Drew Kelly had a career night, scoring 40 points, as the Eagle pounded South Dakota 120-83.

Senior Drew Kelly scored a career-high 40 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and junior Kareem Storey tied the school-record with 16 assists as the Morehead State men’s basketball team powered past visiting South Dakota 120-83 at Johnson Arena Thursday night.

Kelly’s point total is the most for an Ohio Valley Conference player this season. His previous career-best was 26. Storey equaled his career-best for assists and tied a record he had previously matched earlier this season against Mid-Continent (Ky.). MSU had a season-high 32 assists as a unit.

Morehead State improved to 8-5, while USD fell to 3-8.
