Alex Poythress (Class of 2012, Northeast High School, Tenn.) recently cut down his list to a final five after taking an unofficial visit to Kentucky. BluegrassHoops had the chance to talk to Alex about his visit, as well as what he likes about each school remaining on his list: Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Memphis, and Vanderbilt.
Sunday, Poythress and his family traveled to Lexington to take an unofficial visit. He described it as going “very well” and his family enjoyed it.
“We got there and met Coach (John) Calipari and he showed us the facilities and weight-room,” Poythress began. “Then we toured the Wildcat Lodge and just looked around the campus. I also got to talk to the university’s President while I was there.”
While those events seem to be great opportunities, Poythress was more impressed by two other things.
