Kentucky Recruit Brandon Ashley Transferring to Findlay Prep

Brandon Ashley, one of the most sought after forwards in the nation, is transferring out of his hometown Oakland to Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada.

Ashley has offers from Arizona, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Oregon, Syracuse, Texas and UCLA.

The 5 star recruit recently spoke about the school’s recruiting him and the move he is making to Nevada.

“It’s definitely going to be a huge change,” Ashley told the newspaper last month. “Leaving my family and friends will be hard, but I’m trying to prepare for the next level. In a way, I’m really doing this for my family.

“… Hopefully someday I’ll make it to the NBA.”

Also a former Stanford head man, Montgomery tried to recruit Ashley to Berkeley, but the blue-chip recruit isn’t considering his hometown school.
Ashley said that the aforementioned schools on his wish list are there for a reason.

“Those are the schools that recruited me the hardest and longest since Day 1,” Ashley told the San Francisco Chronicle. “It’s definitely nice to be wanted. Those are the people you develop the strongest relationships with.”
