Big Blue All Stars Win 3rd in a Row

It was another big night of basketball in the state of Kentucky, as the Big Blue All Stars played their 3rd game in 3 days, this time in Maysville vs. Georgetown College in the legendary Mason County Fieldhouse.
The All Stars received a little bench help as Jodie Meeks joined the All Stars to help alleviate some fatigue from the guys that have played in both preceding games. Chuck Hayes also didn’t play and Ravi Moss put on a suit and was the head coach.
The first half saw a series of runs by each team, but the All Stars were a little too much toward the end of the half as they took a 57-44 lead into the locker room. The lead was the largest the All Stars have had at the half ouf of the first 3 games.
Kenneth Faried led the All Stars with 14 points and Jodie Meeks added 13. DeMarcus Cousins had 11, Rondo and Knight 8, and Liggins 4.
The most obvious observation of the 1st half was that Kenneth Faried continues to be the best player on the floor. He definitely has earned the nickname Manimal. Ravi Moss, who coached the Stars tonight even said during the game, “That man is going to make a lot of money.”
The All Stars started the second half with a smaller lineup which consisted of Meeks, Knight, Liggins, Rondo, and Josh Harrellson.
Jodie Meeks was hot early as he hit 2 quick threes, but Georgetown battled back with 2 dunks to keep the spread 14 points.
Georgetown went on a 6-0 run to get the lead down to 7 with 13:49 left, but a 3 point play by DeMarcus Cousins pushed it back 10.
The Tigers continued to hang around 10 points, but Jodie Meeks continued to light it up from the outside.
The All Stars started to look a little fatigued around the 10 minute mark, that is until Kenneth Faried entered the lineup. Faried showed all the energy he normally does as he threw shots out of the lane and throwing basketballs down the basket. There is no one that could match the Manimal’s athleticism over any of the past two games and it continued tonight in Maysville.
Both teams wallered around for the last 5 minutes, and the All Stars won their 3rd consecutive game, beating Georgetown 122-105.
Kenneth Faried led the All Stars with 32 points and Jodie Meeks finished with 30. Demarcus Cousins and Brandon Knight each had 16, Rondo had 13, and DeAndre Liggins had 9. Mack and Harrellson finished up with 3.
The Big Blue All Stars will be at Pulaski County High School vs. the Union Bulldogs.
