The first half left a lot to be desired, but the Kentucky Wildcats had a strong first 10 minutes of the 2nd half and then held on to beat the #11 ranked Kansas Jayhawks 75-65.
Terrence Jones was really the only player that came to play in the first half as he finished up with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
In the second half Doron Lamb was the star as he got hot from behind the arc, hitting 2 in a row in one stretch to give the Cats some much needed breathing room. Lamb finished with a game high 17 points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Cats was Anthony Davis with 14, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague both had 12, and Darius Miller finished with 5.
This team has a long way to go and were lucky to be playing a team like Kansas which was deficient on the offensive end of the floor.
We will have more discussion on tomorrow’s Morning Drive so make sure you check it out on Nation of Blue Radio.
