Kentucky had a Visitor at the Loyola Game

Kentucky 2013 target Austin Nichols attended the Loyola game yesterday and Bluegrasshoops.com’s Garrett Tucker spoke to the 6’9″ forward to see how the visit went.

Austin Nichols, a big man from Briarwood Christian Academy (Tenn.), made the short trip to Lexington to watch the game against the Greyhounds with a friend who is committed to Loyola.

”My teammate Sean Tuohy, Jr. is gong to Loyola, so he invited me to the game with him since Kentucky has been recruiting me,” Nichols explained by text Thursday night.

The UK players may have been ready for the game to end, but Nichols and his friends were among the many that wanted to see more from John Calipari.

”I had a great time. The coaches were amazing. Coach [John] Calipari and Coach Orlando [Antigua] are amazing,” the 6-foot-9 star complimented. “They just kept telling me about the players that fit my skill-level.”

The coaching staff also mentioned a very popular name yesterday: Kyle Wiltjer.
