[COLOR=#222222][FONT=Calibri]LEXINGTON – The Bluegrass Sports Commission (BSC) today named Kentucky’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist the Most Valuable Player of today’s men’s basketball game between the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. The Wildcats won the game 69-62.[/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#222222][FONT=Calibri]Kidd-Gilchrist, a freshman, had 24 points and 19 rebounds in leading his team to victory in one of college basketball’s biggest rivalries.[/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#222222][FONT=Calibri]”We are proud to present this award to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist,” said BSC Executive Director Terry Johnson. “In a very intense rivalry game, Michael stood out with an incredible all-around effort.”[/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#222222][FONT=Calibri]Kidd-Gilchrist will receive a trophy in recognition of his achievement. The award was given to former UK forward and current New York Knick Josh Harrellson in 2010.[/FONT][/COLOR]
