The Wildcats take down the Bulldogs tonight with a score of 57-44 in front of 10,523 fans. The first half was a thing of beauty and in the second half Kentucky hit cruise control rolling on to 20-1 on the season, 6-0 in SEC play, all while holding on strong to their number one ranking. Miller finished with 19 points on 7-8 shooting, while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist picked up yet another double double with 14 points, and 11 rebounds on the game.

The first half was the re-emergence of Miller and a glimpse of his game when he plays in the “zone.” Going three for three from the arc and contributing 13 points Miller was the lead behind the charge. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also put in a strong showing with 10 solid points going into the half, along with Kyle Wiltjer going two for two from the three point line.

The start of the second half the Wildcats came out steady, at one point extending the lead and leaving the Georgia fans silent with chants of “GO BIG BLUE” ringing in the air. Georgia slowly charged closer but never making a true threat at a full comeback. The Cats became stagnant but it was enough to get the SEC road win, extending their win streak to 12, with LSU up next Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge.

Statistics to Note:

Marquis Teague had 7 assists and ZERO….yes I said ZERO turnovers. He also pulled in 7 rebounds, not bad for the up and coming point guard eh?

Terrence Jones may have only finish with 5 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks but he kicked off the game with a couple of strong plays down low.

Anthony Davis had 5 blocks, 11 boards and 4 points….just another day in the office.

The Cats actually only won the second half by one point, with a score of 19-18….ugly.

Next up, battle in the bayou, Saturday at 4pm.

Go Cats.
