Many times this season I have questioned why more Kentucky players have not won the weekly awards given out by the SEC on a more consistent basis.
This week the conference didn’t have much of a choice.
Anthony Davis has been named the SEC Player of the Week and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has taken the Freshman of the Week honors for last week.
Davis last performance was good enough for the entire week, as he scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win over Vanderbilt. Davis also had 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win in Starkville.
MKG had 8 points and 8 boards vs. Vandy, but had his standout performance in Starkville, as he scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
If you think there is a better duo in America than AD and MKG, then you are just a hater.
