Two days after 6’7″ Findlay Prep PF Anthony Bennett dropped Florida from contention, it was reported by Adam Zagoria that he has also eliminated Kentucky, leaving it between UNLV and Oregon.
Here is what his AAU coaches had to say about his decision:
“He really likes Kentucky,” CIA Bounce coaches Tony McIntyre and Mike George told SNY.tv. “He loves what they’re doing there. But Anthony feels it would be a better fit at UNLV or Oregon.
“He likes Oregon and UNLV better. He has a chance to be an immediate impact” at those schools.”
Scout.com reporter Evan Daniels also confirmed the news.
Many assumed Bennett would be headed to Kentucky after surprising cutting Florida from his list of schools, but academic issues may have prevented him from becoming a Wildcat.
Bennett is 5-star prospect (No. 1 PF and No. 7 overall) via Rivals. He is expected to make a decision later this week.
