The Chicago Bulls selected Kentucky point guard Marquis Teague as the #29th pick in the NBA Draft and was the 4th Wildcat selected.
Teague has a great chance to win early in his NBA career as the Bulls were a playoff team a season ago, and will back up former Calipari point guard Derrick Rose.
Marquis was ranked as the 3rd rated point guard in the draft by most mock drafts, but was the 4th taken.
Teague’s stock rose during the NCAA tournament as he showed his leadership on the floor and the ability to distribute the basketball.
Most analysts thought that Teague should have stayed in college as he was projected in the lottery for the 2013 draft.
He will have to work on his shooting to be a great NBA player, and if he improves as much as he did last season at Kentucky, I am sure it won’t be an issue over time.
