The United States Olympic team plays their second exhibition game tonight vs. Brazil in Washington D.C. at 8pm on ESPN2.
Brazil might be a challenge for the Americans as they only lost by 2 in the 2010 World Championships which included 5 players that are on this year’s edition of Team USA.
The Brazilians are led by point guard Marcelo Huertas, who did a great job of handling the American pressure two year’s ago.
“Huertas really controlled the game,” U.S. head coach Mike Krzyzewski said Sunday. “He played a magnificent game. You look and you say, ‘Well, I can bother him,’ and he was never bothered by our pressure.”
Rebounding is also a worry for Team USA, especially with a smaller lineup than 2 years ago.
“That’s one of the things we’re concerned about,” Krzyzewski said. “We have to have gang rebounding and make sure that we hold our own on the boards and use our quickness to get to loose balls.”
Hopefully that mean Kentucky’s Anthony Davis will be able to contribute tonight, but lets keep the 3 point shots to a minimum.
As you can see below, Davis does have 3 pointers on his mind.
