Steve Jones of the Courier Journal spoke to Julius Randle’s mom and she gave some interesting news.
She said that Julius called John Calipari during the July evaluation period to get some advice on his game.

“He said, ‘Hey, Coach, how did I look? What can I do better?’” Kyles said on Thursday morning. “And one of the things he told him was, stop catching the ball with one hand. Catch it with two hands. And (Calipari) said it was amazing, that the very next game, he did that.”
Kyles said Randle also had called Calipari and asked him about a way of coming off the dribble, and Calipari suggested an improvement that Randle made the next time out.
“(Calipari) said it’s obvious that Julius is hungry, that he wants to learn, that he wants to improve, that he’s going to work hard and listen and be coachable and do what his coach asks him to do,” Kyles said. “That was great.”

I wonder if he is calling Roy Williams about what major to take if he goes to North Carolina?
Probably should call Julius Peppers for that information.
