Wayne Selden, a Kentucky recruit and teammate of Nerlens Noel, has always been interest of Kentucky fans since he reportedly was offerred this past summer.
Here is an excerpt from Joey Natale’s article on Selden from UConnbball.com where he mentions Kentucky among his offers and talks about contact with the school.
Selden claims six offers from UConn, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Providence with no school currently leading for his talents.
At UConn, the elite guard used to speak to ex-Assistant Coach Andre Lafleur before he left UConn for Providence College. Now, he frequently speaks with UConn’s top recruiter, Kevin Ollie. Wayne says he has a good relationship with Coach Ollie.
At Kentucky, Wayne hasn’t spoke to any coaches but he claims an offer and letters. He also added that Kentucky staff members have spoken to his AAU coaches about Wayne.

I am a little surprised that Selden has never spoke to a Kentucky coach..but I guess if you haven’t been to UK for a visit then it is hard to talk to a coach when you are only a sophomore.
Selden is a definite talent to look for down the road, and don’t be surprised if Noel could lead to Wayne pulling the trigger for Lexington, that is if the blocking machine eventually commits to Kentucky….
