Jarnell Stokes was on the Shawn & Wally Radio Program out of central Arkansas this past week (which may have colored his answers a bit) and he had a few things to say about his visit to Arkansas and his decision as to where he will play college basketball.
“During the visit I got a chance to chill with the teammates,” he said. “In my opinion, I think the Arkansas teammates as far as getting along pretty well, I think Arkansas was the best visit.”
He also said that his mother believes he will end up chosing Arkansas.
When asked about a timeframe for his decision, Jarnell said “I’m leaning towards committing after signing period and then signing in spring,” “But who knows? I may just next Tuesday I might just all of a sudden have it and get ready to just commit and sign.”
Stokes is considering Memphis, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida and Kentucky.
When asked if he was leaning in any particular direction, Jarnell said “I haven’t narrowed it down at all,” he said. “I like all the schools equally. It’s pros and cons to every school.”
If Stokes did choose Kentucky, his ambiguous answers would fit Calipari’s style as much as his game.
