UK target, Jarnell Stokes, was ruled ineligible to play basketball for the Southwind Jaguars for his senior season by the TSSAA Board of Control.
Stokes transferred to Southwind after playing and attending Central High for his previous seasons.
Transfer students are athletically ineligible for one year unless they move into the new school’s district or are granted a hardship.
Being that Stokes has always actually lived in Southwind’s district, his appeal was based on hardship.
It will be interesting to see how this situation develops as Stokes is one of the CATS top remaining priorities for the 2012 class.
