Although he never had the opportunity to speak to Calipari, his presence in the crowd was not lost on the 6’9″ junior from Dallas, TX.

“I feel like I played really well, and the cool thing was (Kentucky) coach (John) Calipari was there watching,” said Randle.

Calipari did speak to Randle’s coach however, and Randle is supposed to call him sometime in the next week.

He went on to explain that the visit “meant a lot” to him because he was put squarely in the limelight.

“[COLOR=#333333][FONT=verdana]It’s a lot different when a coach comes to your high school game because you know he’s coming just to see you. When he comes to a big event or AAU tournament he’s coming to see a lot of different guys, but when he’s in your gym you know he’s there just watching you.”

Randle is considered to be a top five player in the 2013 class by most major recruiting services, including ESPN, Scout and Rivals.
