With many people believing Shabazz Muhammad is UCLA-bound, Amile Jefferson has re-entered the picture. In fact, he never really left. The star forward has been high on Kentucky for awhile, and he continues to show his interest.
According to WLKY, Jefferson says he has spoken with Kenny Payne recently, and the assistant acknowledged that Kentucky would lose all six primary role players; thus, the 6-foot-9 star is still very-much in the picture.
Evan Daniels caught up with Jefferson today at the Kentucky Derby practice, and the unsigned senior says he is looking at Duke, NC State, Kentucky, and Villanova. He also denies his recruitment being a two-horse race.
When asked about UK, he automatically popped a big smile.
I have said this for awhile, but the longer it takes Amile Jefferson to make a decision, the better things will look for Kentucky & John Calipari.
