National Championships are always enticing, and it looks like the Kentucky win on Monday night impressed star wing man Shabazz Muhammad.
When asked what kind of impact UK’s victory had on him, Muhammad told this to Adam Zagoria:
“That has an impact. Just seeing how they run in transition, how those guys get out so fast and how Coach Cal has the guards really getting out and running the floor. It just boosted their option for me by going there.”
Muhammad is currently in Portland, Oregon preparing for the Nike Hoop Summit. Recruits from Duke, Kentucky, and UCLA are also present and making things known for the 6-foot-6 star. Rasheed Sulaimon, Archie Goodwin, and Kyle Anderson have all been trying to convince him to choose their respective school.
Oh, all the time,” Muhammad said. “Rasheed with Duke, Archie with Kentucky and Kyle with UCLA, it’s just so hectic but I’m just enjoying myself down here and I just can’t wait to get the recruiting process over.”
Muhammad will announce on April 11th between Kentucky, Duke, and UCLA, on ESPNU at 7:30.
