12,000 People At A Scrimmage Game? Blue and White Rundown

Tonite Darius Miller, Anthony Davis, Stacey Poole, Marcus Teague, Kyle Wiltjer, Twany Beckham and Sam Malone (sometimes you wanna go…sorry couldn’t resist) as the White Team, took on Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jarrod Polson, Doron Lamb, Eloy Vargas, Ryan Harrow, and Brian (wet that 3) Long as the Blue Team. This roster represents two squads who could compete in the NCAA tourney on their own. There wasn’t alot of defense, some zone looks which Cal claims not to even know how to run, but these boys got it in. These Cats are big and mean and nasty. None moreso than Terrence Jones who has to be a POY [STRIKE]candidate[/STRIKE] favorite. The man is not just a beast, he is making smart moves and getting to the rim instead of settling. He put up 52 of the Blue team’s 125 points. There will be no Devin Downey’s sneaking up this year, BBN. There are just going to be to many dynamic big guys in the way for a perimeter guy to really open us up like that. Kidd-Gilchrist was crashing the boards, getting double digit rebounds and Davis put up a double double (and hit a game high 5 threes). The newbs got a chance to shake off the nerves from Madness and hit some shots in front of the crowd and brace yourself, Jarrod Polson threw down what had to be the dunk of the night…(not exactly but, Polson dunked, son!) Teague was working to distribute the ball, he served up 8 assists. Doron Lamb also ran the point some and dropped 31 on 14-27, yes he’s still an assassin. In the second half the Blue Team pulled away and the final score was 126-104.
