I was arguing with a friend (who happens to be a Duke fan), and did a little research about UK’s 2011-12 basketball season schedule on December 1.[B]For everyone saying UK plays a weak schedule, here’s a lil something for the haters: UK’s schedule vs top 25 teams this year (as of 12/1): Kansas (15), UNC (5), Louisville (6), Alabama (12), Florida (10), Vandy (20), Miss St (21), Florida again (10), and Vandy again (20). So for schedule toughness I look at top 25 games for each team, counting teams played twice as games. 9 top 25 games for UK. That’s gotta be as many top 25 games as any team in NCAA. Def more top 25 games than UNC, Duke, Ohio State, UCONN, Syracuse, etc. Only team with as many top 25 games is Louisville (that I could find). These are based on current AP top 25.
