Jones Not Practicing Today, Status for Tomorrow Questionable

Terrence Jones will sit out practice today with his dislocated finger and could miss tomorrow’s game as well. Being that Samford isn’t likely to pose much of a challenge, this move seems to be inevitible. Give the guy a couple of days to regroup and build up towards the showdown with Louisville on New Year’s Eve.

This whole situation has me thinking, though. (Dangerous, I know.)

If Terrence hadn’t had the game he did in Bloomington, and this injury occured, what would be talking about today?

Perhaps, how does this affect the team’s trajectory as a title contender?

Why doesn’t anyone seem to be addressing this yet?

Jones and Davis are like Bash Brothers of the Block. He is a key to Anthony’s game and the team’s success.

Last year, through conference play and into the tournament, it seemed like every game where the offense ran through Terrence, the rest of the team would shut down and it would throw things out of wack.

This year, be it because of personnel or his own maturity, or just the way the whole team works together, his post presence and points in the paint have been a vital part of the attack.

What do you say BBN, How does Terrence’ status affect your thoughts looking ahead to Louisville and beyond?
