According to Demarcus Cousins, he did not demand a trade from the Sacramento Kings. Boogie had this to say about the situation:

[/I]Now, I’m sure something was said by Cousins to push Westphal to the point of jumping the gun and releasing his statement about Cousin’s ‘demand’ and benching DMC. But in the end, this looks to have been another case of the King’s Head Coach not being able to handle his young team.
