When Kentucky opened Saturday’s game against Lousiville with a long range bucket by Darius Miller, Cal couldn’t have been more upset. Thats because the team had practiced a set play 22 times leading up the game and then promptly threw it out the window as soon as the ball was tipped.
Cal said [I]”You just knew they’re more concerned with themselves than with their teammates.”
[/I]So following a tough win against a top 5 ranked team, Cal was ready for a heart to heart with his team. He spoke to them about the fable of, ‘Jorts’. You may have heard the story about a scrappy kid who went from the locker room shower stall all the way to starting lineup of the New York Knicks. And how did he do it? Selflessness.
