[FONT=Arial Narrow MT Std]LEXINGTON, Ky. – After finishing with a 25-9 overall record last season, including a school-record tying 11 Southeastern Conference victories, the Kentucky women’s basketball team has been picked to start the 2011-12 season at No. 18 by The Associated Press. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial Narrow MT Std]UK has been ranked in back-to-back preseason AP polls for the first time in school history. Kentucky is one of four SEC teams to rank in the preseason top 25 with Tennessee (No. 3), Georgia (No. 13) and LSU (No. 21). Other Kentucky opponents in the AP poll are Notre Dame (No. 2), Duke (7) and Louisville (9).[/FONT]
