Kentucky women’s basketball has signed guard Jemma Amoore, the younger sister of Georgia Amoore, for the 2026-27 season.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program inked a 5-4 guard to its incoming class in Jemma Amoore, head coach Kenny Brooks announced Wednesday. She will join the program as a junior in 2026-27.
“I’m excited to add Jemma to our family,” Brooks said. “She is no stranger to BBN and her familiarity to our staff and basketball system will add valuable experience to our talented backcourt. Jemma exemplifies what it means to be a Wildcat!”

Jemma Amoore, a 5-4 guard from Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, played her sophomore season at Indiana University–Indianapolis in 2025-26 and before that her freshman season at Sacramento State in 2024-25.
In her two seasons of college basketball, she has played in 48 games and made two starts, totaling 57 points, 33 rebounds, 17 steals and 12 assists. With IU-Indy, the then-sophomore earned a career-high 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting and 1-of-1 from the arc against Anderson last November, also grabbing three rebounds, dishing out three assists and making one steal in just 17 minutes in the career outing.
She also was named to the IU-Indy Academic Advisor’s List in 2025-26.
Prior to college basketball, Amoore, the younger sister to Kentucky alumna Georgia Amoore (2024-25), played for the Ballarat Miners’ junior and senior clubs. She earned the Ballarat Basketball GRIT award in 2021, was named the Ballarat Basketball Female Athlete of the Year and “Player’s Player” award in 2022, and was an NBL1 ANZAC Spirit Medalist in 2023.
Amoore also spent numerous seasons playing for Victoria State in the U16, U18 and U20 Australian Junior Championships from 2021 to 2023. She served as team captain of her Victoria teams in 2022 and 2023.
