St. John’s routed UConn 72-52 on Saturday to win its second-straight Big East Conference Tournament championship.
The Red Storm hadn’t won a Big East title since 2000 before Rick Pitino arrived. In three seasons, he’s cut down the nets twice.
St. John’s will head to the Big Dance with a 28-6 record.
