The Kentucky Wildcats opted to decline their scheduled practice time at Bridgestone Arena ahead of Wednesday’s SEC Tournament opener against LSU.
“We just wanted to reproduce the schedule of the day as best we could. So, we couldn’t do that with our slotted time there,” Mark Pope explained during his media availability today. “And so this is — it also recreates our normal travel schedule. So we’re just trying to have our day before the game be as close in proximity to what we’ll face tomorrow as we can.”
As a reminder, the Cats were 16-for-60 from the field in a 95-59 loss to Gonzaga in Bridgestone Arena earlier this season.
