Chicago State probably suffered the most bizarre loss of the college basketball season this afternoon at Stonehill.
The Cougars were up 71-69 with the ball and just 0.1 seconds to play, and somehow managed to lose.
All Chicago State had to do was inbound the ball and kill 0.1 seconds. Instead, the coach called a timeout. The Cougars had no timeouts remaining, which resulted in a technical foul. Stonehill made both free throws to send the game to overtime.
The Skyhawks then won the game 85-82 in overtime.
