Mark Pope met with the media today to close the book on the Missouri loss, look ahead to Saturday’s game against Mississippi State and remind everyone that Rupp Runt’s will be in the building for Saturday’s game.
“There’s no time for indulging and feeling. I spent a lot of time feeling like I’d like to curl up a bit and kill myself, but that’s actually not what we do,” Pope said of his emotions after the Missouri loss. “We raise up and we get to work and we find answers, and that’s actually where the great part of life comes from, is answering the bell.”
Pope mentioned that most of the 1966 team will be in Rupp Arena Saturday, including the great Pat Riley.
