Around the SEC: Georgia Gives Up a 4-Point Lead in 1 Second, Vanderbilt Stays Undefeated

Georgia somehow managed to give up a 4-point lead in 1 second at home against Auburn yesterday.

Luckily, the Bulldogs managed to get a 104-100 win in overtime despite the debacle at the end of regulation.

Georgia is 13-1 with the win. Auburn (9-5) is off to a slow start under new head coach Steven Pearl.

Here’s what happened to send the game to overtime:

In other SEC action:

– Vanderbilt defeated 83-71 to remain undefeated. That’s right, the Commodores are 14-0 to start the season. To be fair, they haven’t played a ranked team yet.

– In some bittersweet news for Kentucky fans, Tennessee lost. Unfortunately, it was John Calipari and Arkansas that beat them 86-75. The Razorbacks are 11-3.

– Missouri is also 11-3 following Saturday’s 76-74 upset win over No. 22 Florida. The Tigers head to Rupp Arena on Wednesday. Florida dropped to 9-5 and will surely be unranked come Monday.

– Oklahoma cruised to an 86-70 win over Ole Miss. The Rebels are just 8-6 to start the season. Former UK guard Travis Perry played 4 minutes off the bench and did not score. The Sooners are 11-3.

– Texas A&M knocked off LSU 75-72 in College Station. The Aggies are another 11-3 SEC team. LSU dropped to 12-2.

– Mississippi State picked up a big SEC road win in overtime at Texas. The Bulldogs are 9-5 after the 101-98 victory.

– Of course, we already know what happened in Tuscaloosa. Let’s not talk about that.
