According to a report by Mike Florio of NBC Sports, word is circulating within the Kentucky program that Chip Kelly could be the next head football coach of the Wildcats.
Kelly was recently fired as offensive coordinator by the Oakland Raiders. He has previously worked as a head coach at Oregon and UCLA. In the NFL, Kelly was head coach of the Eagles and 49ers.

Word is circulating among Kentucky players that Kelly could be the team’s next head coach. That doesn’t mean he will be. It doesn’t even mean he’s an official candidate. It means only that Kentucky players have somehow developed the impression that Kelly could be the new coach.
