Former Kentucky star Jamal Mashburn and retired Auburn coach Bruce Pearl interviewed Rick Pitino after St. John’s defeated William & Mary 93-60 on Saturday.
“Hey coach, this is the greatest player you ever coached in college basketball talking to ya,” Mashburn joked.
Pitino quickly replied, “you got that right.”
