Herro, Adebayo earn No. 8 seed in Eastern Conference

Two former Kentucky stars are headed into the NBA Playoffs and two others are headed home following the last night of play-in games last night.

Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo helped the Miami Heat knock off the Atlanta Hawks 123-114. The win gives the Heat the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Herro led the Heat with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Adebayo chipped in a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.




The Heat will battle the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Game 1 is Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.

In the Western Conference, the Dallas Mavericks came up short 120-106 to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies advance to take on No. 1 seed Oklahoma City on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Anthony Davis led Dallas in a losing effort with 40 points and 9 rebounds. P.J. Washington did not score.
