Houston is reportedly close to hiring former Kentucky women’s head coach Matthew Mitchell.
Mitchell stepped away from UK due to health reasons but is apparently close to making his return to women’s basketball.
Prior to Kentucky, Mitchell was head coach at Morehead State. He has a career record of 311–154 (.669).
