Rick Pitino led St. John’s to its first Big East Conference Tournament championship in 25 years this afternoon.
The Red Storm defeated Creighton 82-66 after trailing by three points at halftime.
After the game, Pitino joked that he is planning to drink about a quart of Jameson’s tonight:

St. John’s (30-4) is projected as a No. 2 seed on the eve of Selection Sunday.
