When Louisville attempted to punt early in today’s Ton The Tiger Sun Bowl, the announcers seems stunned to find out the Cardinals were without starting punter Brady Hodges.
It appeared Hodges opted out of the game today, with the announcers claiming even the Louisville SID didn’t know Hodges was missing.
Hodges clarified on social media that he actually opted out on December 10, and he blamed the decision on unpaid NIL money.

I have not been with the team since December 10th. @502_Circle told me September 6th, they would be paying and are still yet to hold up their end of the deal. I graduated on December 13th and had every intention on being with the team had they held up their end of the deal.
