Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News has Kentucky as a No. 3 seed in his first NCAA Tournament projection of the season.
The Wildcats (10-2) were trending into 1-seed territory until their inexplicable 20-point loss to Ohio State.
As of right now, DeCourcy has his top seeds at Auburn, Tennessee, Iowa State and Oregon. The 2-seeds are Mississippi State, Alabama, Marquette and Duke.
The Cats are on the 3-seed line with Texas A&M, UConn and Kansas.
