The Kentucky women’s basketball team held off a pesky Belmont team 84-78 Friday night at Historic Memorial Coliseum.
The win was a nice gift for head coach Kenny Brooks on his 56th birthday.
The Wildcats (10-1) were led by Georgia Amoore’s 23 points. Amelia Hassett contributed her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Dazia Lawrence chipped in 15 points.
