John Calipari confirmed this afternoon that he will be at the NBA Draft with Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham tonight.
“I’m gonna wear chains and a wallet and a bracelet,” he said on Pat McAfee’s show. “I’m coming…wait till you see the shoes! Oh my gosh.”
Calipari warned NBA execs to not sleep on his guards:
“How do you pass on my guards? … How about they passed on [Tyrese] Maxey and [Immanuel] Quickley? And I told them all, ‘Dudes, you are going to regret this.'”

Calipari went on to talk about how much money his former players have earned:
“70% of the players that we’ve recruited in the last 15 years have been drafted..
73% of those 70% have gotten to second contracts..
I believe 30% of the max contracts in the NBA are my guys & our kids have earned over $5 billion without endorsements” ~ @CoachCalArk #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/FEJx4fhsxp

“I started five freshman and we went to the National Championship game but I think those days are done..
When my teams win six guys get drafted..
Winning matters and my legacy will hopefully be that I prepared young men for success”@CoachCalArk #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/Cu53s0jrbz
