According to a report by Pete Thamel, Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen is an early candidate for the head coaching job at Syracuse.
Thamel reported the following names as early candidates for the job: Jason Candle, Bronco Mendenhall, Doug Marrone, Tony White, Al Golden, Curt Cignetti, Jim Knowles, Sean Lewis, Bob Chesney, Liam Coen and Teryl Austin.
Syracuse fired head coach Dino Babers on Sunday morning. Babers finished with a record of 41-55 and two bowl appearances during his tenure.
