Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops rewarded walk-on wide receiver Cole Lanter with a scholarship on Monday.
Lanter, who was star for Boyle County High School, came to the Wildcats a walk-on. Through hard work and dedication, Lanter earned a scholarship after a year and a half.
“Been here a year and a half, busting his ass,” Stoops said to the team. “Passed on scholarship opportunities…he came here, he bet on himself, he wanted to be part of this program…and we wanted to reward him with a scholarship.”
