According to a report by Pete Thamel, the Atlantic Coast Conference is planning “early exploratory discussions” about adding Cal and Stanford to the league.
Of course, Cal and Stanford as west coast teams that remain in the rapidly-dying Pac-12 Conference.
The departures of Cal and Stanford would leave the Pac-12 with two teams: Washington State and Oregon State.
Sources: In the next 24 hours, there’s two calls for the ACC to vet and have early exploratory discussions on the potential addition of Cal and Stanford. One is for ACC athletic directors and the other for the league’s presidents and chancellors.
