Kentucky’s all-time high school scoring leader Travis Perry will play a game next season in the historic Wayland Gym.
The Mountain Sports Hall of Fame announced on social media this morning that Perry and his Lyon County teammates will play a game in Wayland against Floyd Central High School on December 16.
The old Wayland Gym was the home of the Wayland Wasps back in the day. The most famous Wasp, of course, was legendary basketball star “King” Kelly Coleman.

Perry, who is being recruited by Kentucky and many others, passed Coleman on the all-time scoring list last season as a junior. He will be one of the favorites to win Mr. Basketball in 2024.
