Kentucky point guard Sahvir Wheeler says he is healthy and available to play for the Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament tonight.
During Thursday’s media session, Wheeler confirmed that he’s back. He also reacted to conspiracy theories about why he hasn’t played since February 4.
“That’s a narrative? I would hope they’ve been able to watch my energy on the bench,” Wheeler said. “I love this program, I love this team.”

Sahvir Wheeler was asked about the conspiracies surrounding his injury absence.
“That’s a narrative?… I would hope they’ve been able to watch my energy on the bench… I love this program, I love this team.”
I’ve said this the entire time. He’s never given up on this team. pic.twitter.com/iSplq416xG

To those that ran with the narrative that Sahvir Wheeler had quit on this team, this quote shows just how stupid that was.
“The toughest thing has been not being out there with my guys… I am super excited to be in the Tournament with my guys.”
Sahvir loves his teammates.
