Four teams will represent the state of Kentucky in the upcoming NAIA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Georgetown College is in as a 3-seed and the Tigers will host the Georgetown pod on March 7-8. The Tigers will play 14th-seed Lourdes (Ohio) with No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan taking on No. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) in the other game.
Georgetown head coach Chris Briggs (pictured) was a student manager and graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky from 2001-2006.
Thomas More College is a 5-seed in the Cramer Quadrant of the tournament. The Saints will face No. 12 Eastern Oregon in Butte, Montana on March 7.
Also in the Cramer Quadrant will be 6th-seeded Union College. They will face No. 11 Southeastern (Fla.) in Montgomery, Alabama.
The University of Pikeville Bears slipped into the field as an at-large team. The Bears are headed to Alexandria, Louisiana as the No. 13 seed in the Naismith Quadrant. They will battle No. 4 Huntington (Ind.) in the first round.
