According to a report by Zach Barnett of Footballscoop.com, Liam Coen said today that he is undecided on taking the offensive coordinator job at Kentucky.
Coen, of course, is still the offensive coordinator for the Rams and their season doesn’t end for another week.
Here is the report from Barnett:
After ESPN reported a month ago that Liam Coen was expected to return to Kentucky, Coen said Thursday he’s undecided about taking the job.https://t.co/8L4UQc5FdF

Nick Rousch of KSR believes Coen is simply using coach-speak and expect Coen to officially take the UK job next week:
Of course that’s what he said. Did anyone expect him to say, “Yeah, I’m taking the first flight of LAX Monday morning. I can’t wait to get outta here. Spring practice starts in six weeks!”? No.
In order to do things “the right way,” a line uttered often throughout this process, it requires Coen to fulfill his duties by saying all of the right things until it’s time to depart. To act like today’s quote is anything but a Nothing-Burger is ridiculous. Next week the University of Kentucky will announce Liam Coen is officially the Wildcats’ offensive coordinator for the 2023 season. Plan accordingly.
I expect Coen to accept the Kentucky job, as well, but it will make for an anxious week as BBN waits…patiently.
