Former Kentucky guard Tyrese Maxey will undergo an MRI soon to determine the extent of a foot injury that kept him out of the second half of tonight’s game against Milwaukee.
Maxey was having an incredible game prior to suffering the injury. He had 24 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in the first half.
Here are more details from ESPN:
Emerging Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey suffered a left foot injury and was ruled out of the second half of Friday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Wells Fargo Center.
An X-ray on Maxey’s foot was negative, and he will get an MRI on Saturday, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Maxey suffered the injury with 1 minute, 36 seconds to go in the first half, when he landed awkwardly on the foot while being fouled in transition. He grimaced and let out a yell as he hopped up the ramp behind the basket, then limped back to the foul line and split a pair of free throws.
