Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski didn’t hesitate to throw one of his own players under the bus after last night’s Final Four loss to North Carolina.
Minutes after the final horn sounded, Coach K blamed big man Mark Williams for missing free throws as a key reason why the Blue Devils lost.
“We’d like to hit our free throws,” Coach K said before calling out Williams by name. “Mark, not being able… he was never in the game…”

Folks had plenty to say about Coach K’s comments about Williams, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, on social media:
Coach K going out with his usual class, trashing Mark Williams in his post game interview.

Coach K blaming Mark Williams for missing FT’s is just the most classic Coach K thing to do ever. Can’t just not throw one of your guys under the bus, just has to say something in regards to Williams missing those FTs. Very classic.

Coach K immediately throwing Mark Williams under the bus is so perfect. What a way for that scumbag to go out
