It didn’t come easy, but John Calipari earned his 800th career win tonight with an 82-74 victory over Mississippi State in overtime at Rupp Arena.
The Wildcats (16-4, 6-2 SEC) struggled at times without injured guard TyTy Washington. Thankfully, senior Kellan Grady heated up in overtime with back-to-back three-pointers that propelled Kentucky to the win.

Oscar Tshiebwe had another 20-20 game with 21 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Grady finished with 18 points and 8 of those came in the extra period. Sahvir Wheeler had 15 points and 6 assists. Keion Brooks chipped in 12 points.
Iverson Molinar led all scorers with 30 points for Mississippi State (13-6, 4-3).
